Cultivating IDEAS is the community culture we aspire to create at The Village Workshop. Together, as committed MAKERS, we've all personally experienced a friend or neighbor intrigued and inspired by our talents and those of our maker community. It's a bit nostalgic because in metro Detroit, everyone shares a connection to a skilled trade or perhaps someone once taught you HOW-TO to build a rocket, hem some pants, make a go-kart, turn a baseball bat, design a tool, paint a picture, fabricate and fly an airplane, build a tree fort or you made something. Our current society craves a connectedness to the hands-on creativity they experienced in their youth, before everything got too fast. The Village Workshop is driven by you, our members. Your stories inspire us and we would love for you to share your experiences or more specifically a photograph of your creative history and how you got started!
